Riyadh, Saudi Arabia โ The Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace participated in the 19th Internet Governance Forum (IGF19), held from 15 to 19 December 2024 in Riyadh.
Under the theme โBuilding Our Multistakeholder Digital Futureโ, the Forum convened global stakeholdersโgovernments, civil society, technical community, private sectorโto engage in multilateral dialogue on Internet governance challenges.
Representatives of the Council intervened in panel sessions and joined side events focusing on digital trust, inclusive access, human rights online, and the ethics of emerging technologies. They also held bilateral meetings with other NGOs to explore joint initiatives in promoting digital peace, tolerance, and equitable governance.
Through its active role, the Council reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring technology serves humanity, not division, by advocating policies that protect digital rights and bridge divides in the digital era.
