A Tribute to King Harald V and Congratulations to King Haakon.

The beginning of a new reign is a historic moment that brings both reflection and hope. As Norway enters a new chapter under the leadership of King Haakon, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty. We wish him wisdom, strength, and success as he takes on the responsibility of serving the Kingdom of Norway and its people.

At the same time, this moment calls upon us to remember and honor the life, sacrifices, and achievements of the late King Harald V. Throughout his reign, King Harald V embodied dedication, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the Norwegian people. He served as a symbol of stability and national unity, guiding the nation through times of change while preserving the values that define Norwegian society.

The legacy of King Harald V is deeply rooted in the principles of respect, equality, democracy, and mutual understanding. His efforts strengthened the bonds among people from different backgrounds and contributed to a society where diversity is embraced as a source of strength rather than division. His service to the nation will remain an enduring example for generations to come.

As King Haakon assumes the throne, he inherits not only a crown but also a proud tradition of public service and a legacy of leadership built on trust and responsibility. The hopes of the nation accompany him as he leads Norway into the future while preserving the values that have long united its people.

Today, more than ever, we must continue to work together for one Norway: a Norway where every citizen feels respected, included, and valued regardless of origin, faith, or background. The ideals of tolerance, peace, solidarity, and social responsibility must remain at the heart of our national identity.

Norway has earned international respect as a nation committed to peace, human dignity, and cooperation. The best way to honor the memory of King Harald V is to continue building the society he served so faithfully while supporting King Haakon in the important mission that now lies before him.

On this historic occasion, we pay tribute to the late King Harald V with gratitude and respect, and we warmly congratulate King Haakon. May Norway continue to stand united as one nation, guided by the values of peace, tolerance, and hope for a better future for all.
