About Us

Believing that tolerance is a human creation that must be adopted as a fundamental structure in the policies of human beings, in their aspirations, and in the development of the values and virtues that concern them, regardless of their affiliations and
of their religions, And their sects, beliefs, with the aim of building a world dominated by peace, bonds of fraternity, and humanity. Tolerance is considered a skill among the skills of civilized life, where the individual is not limited by traditions and habits that govern his perception of others, making him open and accepting towards people despite their differences. This leads to peaceful coexistence between the different categories of society, and tolerance is the virtue that builds peace, contributing to the replacement of the culture of peace with the culture of war.
This is how the Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace was born, which operates in accordance with the vision of the Declaration of Principles on Tolerance issued and signed by the Member States of UNESCO on November 16, 1995.
