Statement of the Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace
In line with our humanitarian mission and unwavering commitment to promoting tolerance and fostering a culture of peace among nations, the Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace firmly rejects all forms of violence and armed conflicts that claim innocent lives, destroy communities, and hinder global stability and development.
Wars and recurring conflicts have become a constant source of human suffering, leaving behind countless civilian victims, displacing millions from their homes, and spreading hatred instead of justice and reconciliation. For this reason, the Council renews its urgent call to world leaders and international and regional organizations to:
Immediately cease wars and conflicts across the globe.
Protect civilians and spare them from the scourge of armed violence.
Embrace dialogue and negotiation over weapons and destruction.
Uphold the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence as a foundation for global stability.
The Council draws particular attention to the grave humanitarian crisis in Gaza, urging urgent international action to halt the bloodshed and protect the Palestinian people from ongoing suffering.
True global security and development can only be achieved through ending wars and establishing a just and comprehensive peace that safeguards human dignity everywhere. The Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace reaffirms its continued commitment to supporting initiatives and efforts that advance global peace and coexistence among peoples.
