Council Participates in the 20th Internet Governance Forum in Norway
Lillestrรธm, Norway โ The Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace took part in the 20th Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2025), held from 23 to 27 June 2025 at Nova Spektrum in Lillestrรธm, Norway.
The Forum was held under the overarching theme โBuilding Digital Governance Togetherโ, bringing together governments, civil society, academia, the private sector, and the technical community to address global challenges in the digital sphere.
Representatives of the Council actively participated in discussions on digital trust, human rights online, equitable access to the internet, cybersecurity, and responsible innovation. They also held side meetings with various stakeholders to explore opportunities for cooperation in promoting tolerance, peace, and inclusive digital governance.
Through its participation, the Council reaffirmed its commitment to upholding digital rights, advancing inclusive policies, and ensuring that technology contributes to peace, security, and sustainable development worldwide.
