The Arab European Center for Human Rights and International Law has announced the appointment of Eng. Sherif Adly as an Ambassador of Peace and Goodwill, in recognition of his distinguished contributions to supporting sustainable development pathways and economic development, promoting a culture of social responsibility, and fostering the values of peace and constructive cooperation at both the national and international levels.
This appointment comes within the framework of the Centerโs strategy to engage economic leaders and influential public figures with a positive impact in advancing the international development agenda, strengthening multilateral partnerships, and contributing to stability and sustainable growth.
Eng. Sherif Adly is considered one of the prominent economic leaders in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with over two decades of experience in real estate development, building materials, industry, and investment. He serves as the owner and Chief Executive Officer of several major economic entities, including Better Home Developments Group. He is also a key shareholder in Zaldi Capital and the Export Development Bank of Egypt, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Cotton Ginning Company, and a board member of B Investments Holding.
The Center affirmed that the selection of Eng. Sherif Adly reflects its commitment to enhancing the role of the private sector in supporting sustainable economic development, consolidating the principles of good governance, and backing initiatives aimed at promoting regional stability and international cooperation.
For his part, Eng. Sherif Adly expressed his deep appreciation for this appointment, emphasizing that his designation as Ambassador of Peace and Goodwill represents a national and humanitarian responsibility, as well as an opportunity to intensify efforts supporting development causes and to contribute to strengthening the values of mutual understanding and economic integration among peoples.
It is noteworthy that the Arab European Center for Human Rights and International Law is an independent international non-governmental organization headquartered in the Kingdom of Norway, with an active regional and international presence. The Center works to support sustainable development, strengthen the rule of law, and promote the principles of good governance. It holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), is registered with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), and has observer membership with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). It is also accredited at the Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in Geneva, reflecting its institutional standing and international presence.
