Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace Highlights Its Support at Erasmus Days 2025
Gdańsk, Poland – October 18, 2025 —
The Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace reaffirmed its commitment to fostering intercultural understanding and social cohesion by supporting the Erasmus Days 2025 celebrations held at the University of Gdańsk. The event, which ran from 13–18 October, brought together more than 200 participants to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and shared European values under the slogan “Although we all differ, we are similar.” The programme showcased activities that promoted cultural exchange, language practice, and community engagement — all aimed at reinforcing the spirit of tolerance and cooperation among students and communities across Europe.
Representatives from the Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace, an organisation dedicated to promoting peace, human dignity and mutual respect regardless of cultural and religious backgrounds, emphasized the importance of such international platforms in building bridges between diverse societies and advancing the principles of peaceful coexistence. The Council’s broader mission — advocating for dialogue, human rights education, and peaceful solutions to conflicts — aligns with the overarching goals of Erasmus Days to foster intercultural learning and solidarity across national borders.Council
