The Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace participated in the proceedings of the 9th World Congress Against the Death Penalty, held in Paris, France, from June 30 to July 2, 2026, with broad international participation from policymakers, legal experts, and representatives of international and human rights organizations.
This prominent global event is considered one of the leading platforms dedicated to addressing issues related to the abolition of the death penalty. It brings together key stakeholders to exchange expertise, share best practices, and advance international efforts aimed at protecting the right to life and promoting more humane justice systems.
