The Arab European Center for Human Rights and International Law announced the awarding of Engineer Sherif Adly with the โInternational Development and Investment Ambassadors Award 2026โ on the sidelines of his participation in the 27th session of the United Nations Intergovernmental Working Group on the Right to Development, held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.
The Secretary-General of the Center, Eihan Jaf, affirmed that the award recognizes Sherif Adlyโs prominent role in supporting economic development and investment pathways, as well as his effective contributions to promoting the concepts of sustainable development and public-private partnerships, in line with the objectives of the United Nations and the international development agenda.
He further explained that this selection comes within the framework of the Centerโs strategy aimed at engaging economic leaders and influential public figures in supporting the international development agenda, strengthening multilateral partnerships, and contributing to stability and sustainable growth.
Engineer Sherif Adly is considered one of the leading economic figures in the Arab Republic of Egypt, possessing more than two decades of experience in real estate development, building materials, industry, and investment. He serves as the owner and CEO of several major economic entities, including Better Home Developments. He is also a major shareholder in Zaldi Capital and Export Development Bank of Egypt, Chairman of the Board of Arab Cotton Ginning Company, and a board member of B Investments Holding.
The Center noted that the selection of Sherif Adly reflects its commitment to enhancing the role of the private sector in supporting sustainable economic development, consolidating the principles of good governance, and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening regional stability and international cooperation.
For his part, Engineer Sherif Adly expressed his deep appreciation for this international recognition, emphasizing that receiving the โInternational Development and Investment Ambassadors Awardโ represents a major national and humanitarian responsibility, as well as an opportunity to intensify efforts supporting development issues and to contribute to promoting the values of mutual understanding and economic integration among peoples.
