The Council Participates in 69th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York
New York, March 2025 โ The Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace took part in the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), held at the United Nations Headquarters from 10 to 21 March 2025.
The session focused on the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the ongoing challenges to achieving gender equality and womenโs empowerment within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Councilโs representatives contributed through interventions and side events addressing human rights, gender justice, and peacebuilding, reaffirming the Councilโs commitment to advancing womenโs empowerment, inclusive participation, and stronger institutions in line with global equality standards.
