The Council Participates in the Fundamental Rights Forum 2024 in Vienna

Vienna โ The Norwegian Council for Tolerance and Peace took part in the Fundamental Rights Forum 2024, held in Vienna on 11โ12 March 2024 and organized by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).
The Forum, which serves as Europeโs leading space for dialogue on human rights and democracy, brought together policymakers, civil society, and international organizations to discuss pressing challenges such as climate change, technological developments, threats to democracy, and the shrinking civic space.
Representatives of the Council engaged in high-level debates, interactive workshops, and the Human Rights Lab, where they exchanged experiences and shared best practices on strengthening tolerance, protecting fundamental freedoms, and promoting peacebuilding through human rights education.
Through its participation, the Council reaffirmed its commitment to advancing human rights, fostering inclusive societies, and supporting international cooperation to address global challenges in line with the principles of peace and tolerance.
