A high-level delegation from the Arab-European Center for Human Rights and International Law participated in the work and activities of the General Forum of the World Trade Organization (WTO), held during the period from September 12 to 15 in Geneva, which came under the title โTime for Actionโ with the participation of representatives from 164 countries.
The activities of the General Forum were held at the headquarters of the World Trade Organization in Geneva
In the presence of a number of ministers, diplomats, representatives of international companies, non-governmental organizations, academia and accredited international organizations.
During the forum’s activities, the official delegation of the center met with representatives of member states, representatives of international bodies, global companies, and academic circles.
During these meetings, the Center stressed its belief that the international economic system is always based on interconnection between countries through increasing trade and economic relations, which would enhance peace and common prosperity among peoples.
The first sessions of the forum were opened in the presence of
Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates. Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown also participated among the speakers
